The Days plunder

I finally picked up my copy of COE which looks good and also a few more packs of Romans. Well... you can never really have enough Romans in my book.

I see you got some of the Warlord Roman Aux Marines

They're great models and the capes make them even easier to paint - no details to worry about on the backs!

It looks like you had a good degree of self control

Oh, shiny!

It looks as though you got two of the special edition figure - lucky dog! I attended SALUTE a couple years ago but sadly arrived to late to get the free schwag.

Enjoy your new toys!

Well I did spend more than I should have perhaps, Those metal Auxiliaries are quite pricey. Now I can see why plastics are becoming such a big hit these days.

I am about to take the plunge into early Imperial Romans and would appreciate your thoughts on the diffreent fig ranges, and size compatability.

Love your celts too BTW - beautiful stuff!

Tricky one that but if you want more variety I would go with the smaller size. Gripping Beast, Warlord Games, 1st Corps and the original Foundry Imperial Romans all match in size. If you like the larger (Later) Foundry ranges, then Black tree Design is the way to go, as the two sizes fit well together. Pop over to BigRedBat's Blog and have a look, he goes for the bigger ranges.

I would have to recommend the Warlord Games plastics though after having fun making a load, also they are quite cheap.

Hope this helps.
